Walsall Council is the accountable body for the Black Country Technical Assistance Project which is part funded through the European Union’s European Social Fund Programme 2014-2020 and the four Black Country Local Authorities (Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton City Council). The purpose of the project is to build on a central team for the Black Country able to assist significantly with the effective, compliant development and promotion of local European Social Fund projects.

The Black Country Technical Assistance Team at Walsall Council are issuing an invitation to quote for customised promotional items, branded with an ESF logo, to be offered to participants or public at large during meetings, workshops, conferences and other EU targeted information campaigns.

The tenderer shall be able to supply all of the items described below and should provide the related services of design, layout, pre-press work, revisions, and delivery to Walsall MBC offices at: Civic Centre, Darwall Street, Walsall WS1 1TP.

The basic information and graphics which are to appear on the products will be provided by the technical assistance team in good time in full / multiple colour options. As a minimum requirement the tenderer should be able to print the required EU logo on all products.

 Design Requirements

 The proposed products must be attractive and functional, but also original and innovative. They must be compatible with the EU publicity guidance on logo use (size, dimensions etc) https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/470206/ESIF_Publicity_Requirements_v2_221015.pdf and comply as far as possible with environment-friendly norms i.e highly recyclable.

The promotional products shall display the ESF logo (to be provided) in full colour and where possible the technical assistance team logo, separately or along with the technical assistance team contact number and website address.

We are seeking for manufacturer’s commitment to environmentally friendly production processes and products using materials that are highly recyclable and/or ecological, and designed to minimise waste. The tenderers are therefore asked to provide evidence concerning the certifications or ‘eco-labels’ for the products they propose.

 Quote

The tenderer is asked to provide an itemised quote including unit / quantity price exclusive of VAT.

For each product the tenderer is asked to include a sheet (where possible) with pictures of the proposed product. Variants of the same product can be presented as long as they include similar functionalities. For each product the tenderer is asked to specify additional information such as materials, weight, size, available colours, ecological labels if available and any other useful information.

Art work, design and delivery should be included in the quote, unless otherwise specified.

Award

The contract will be awarded on price however the Council will seek confirmation of the manufacturers environmentally friendly production processes.
