The Managing Authority has published guidance on the retention of documents related to ERDF projects and a copy can be found here. It emphasises the need for good record keeping as a project management tool.
The guidance also provides advice on how long documents should be retained for in order to comply with the ESIF Regulations, the core documentation that should be retained and the evidence that will need to be provided if the project is audited.
Finally, the guidance sets out the legislative and practical requirements for the exchange of electronic data and advises on acceptable forms of electronic documentation and how long they should be retained.
