ERDF Procurement Workshop
Walsall Football Club (Bescot Stadium)

The aim of this half-day workshop is to ensure that project teams and line managers are fully aware of the obligations in place through the EU Procurement laws and the Public Contract Regulations 2015. Content will cover examination of the relevant Directives and the Managing Authority (DCLG) requirements to enable project staff and their partners to become aware of the stringent requirements associated with procuring goods and services and the purchasing cycle of business case, tendering and contracting. It will also cover the ERDF specific obligations of the cross cutting themes and eligibility of match funding. For project applicants and partners, errors in the management of procurement often lead to severe penalties being applied.
The workshop will cover:
• Essentials of the Guidance – definitions, cross border interests and risk based Interpretations
• The procurement routes, thresholds and advertising and how to determine the purchasing business case
• The tender process – ITTs, selection and award criteria and how best to manage
• Examples of what can go wrong for projects
