Has the Black Country LEP consulted on the development of the Black Country ESIF Strategy?
Yes, the Black Country LEP organised a number of consultation events with public, private and voluntary sector partners to identify need, areas for intervention and good practice. Further detail can be found in the Black Country ESIF Strategy.
What is an Opt-In?
Opt-In organisations are also known as co-financing organisations. Opt-ins are national public bodies who offer to deliver locally tailored activities that reflect the requirements of the LEP and their own organisation’s main responsibilities. Opt-Ins provide match funding so that 100% of eligible project costs are funded. This alleviates the burden on applicants to find match funding. You can read more about the Black Country Opt-In arrangements here.
What outputs and results are projects required to deliver?
The required outputs and results are set out in each individual call / tender specification. The definitions and reporting evidence can be found on GOV.UK.
How can we prepare for ESF funding rounds?
Firstly make sure you have read and understood the programme guidance documentation.
ESF providers are encouraged to enlist onto the Skills Funding Agency’s Register of Training Organisations in order to deliver education and training services. Providers should make sure they are registered with the Bravo e-tendering portal and understand how the system works.
Contact the technical assistance team. We are here to help you develop your project idea and ensure it is compliant with ESF funding regulations.
What support can the technical assistance team provide?
If you have an idea for an ESF project please get in touch with the team who can help to develop your proposal and ensure that it is eligible and compliant with ESF regulations and national funding rules.
The team will organise ‘pre-contract’ training and workshops to ensure your organisation is fully ready to apply for and deliver an ESF project.
We will also disseminate programme information via our website, social media accounts, and e-newsletters to keep you up to date with the latest funding calls and programme opportunities.
The team can provide support to help you publicise your project.
