Through their new programme – 4 Steps to Progress, Workpays is ready to support young people within the Black Country region aiming to progress 344 into some form of Education, Employment or Training. The project especially targets those that are leaving higher education and falling into the NEET criteria as well as those looking to move into Self Employment, young females and those poorly prepared for work.
The 4 Steps to Progress project delivers a multitude of training courses tailored and bespoke to young people not engaged in employment, education or training to progress them moving into EET. Delivered right across the Black Country young people are able to reach and receive tailored support they need (from their designated Learner Support Worker) in moving into education, employment and training, and made far more aware of alternative routes to employment including Apprenticeships and Traineeships.
Workpays is committed to supporting local schools and Colleges. They deliver presentations to promote the project and utilise pop up facilities in the local area, making sure that those individuals are supported, focussing on those individuals that are leaving higher education with no planned routeway into further education, employment or training. Working with all school heads identify young people at risk of becoming NEET and how 4 Steps to Progress is able to support them, building up meaningful relationships with the schools and colleges in order to cross refer.
Engaging across the region with local youth zones and community hubs is vital in order to enhance exposure of provision to support NEETS.
Workpays deliver weekly drop in sessions to support referrals and have vibrant social media groups and online marketing campaigns to progress young people into the career paths that meet their career aspirations.
