The Black Country Technical Assistance Team maximises the take up and impact of the European Structural and Investment Funds Programme. The Team provides technical advisory support, ensuring that quality proposals are designed in accordance with ESIF and national funding requirements. The Team facilitates wide ranging access to the Programme, through stakeholder engagement and capacity building activity, and increases visibility of ESIF funding in the sub-region.

The Black Country Impact has successfully achieved up to £51 million of funding to deliver a two year project that will address the barriers faced by unemployed individuals aged 15-29 years, supporting them to secure a brighter future through employment, training and education.
Dudley Canal Tunnel and Limestone Mines are celebrating a big win as they beat the competition from around the country to take home Canal and River Trust’s Living Waterways Award in the Recreation and Tourism category. The Skills Funding Agency published a new European Social Fund call for the Black Country: Access to Employment - Support for the Unemployed. £1,900,000 is available for the period from August 2016 to March 2018. The aim of the call is to provide bespoke support and training for the unemployed and those economically inactive and seeking a return to the labour market but facing skills related barriers to entering the labour market.
